SIGAL Construction Corporation participated in the AIA DC and Washington Architectural Foundation’s Architecture in Schools volunteer program this past spring. Kristina Castro, a Project Manager at SIGAL and Registered Architect, led the volunteer effort at SIGAL. For eight weeks, Kristina and numerous SIGAL employees spent one hour each week at Kings Glen Elementary School in Springfield, Virginia teaching sixth grade students about construction and architecture.

Cardozo High School at the DC Preservation League’s Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation on Thursday, May 15. Awards will be presented to individuals, business and local organizations for exemplary work and commitment to historic preservation, archaeology, education, and lifetime achievement.
SIGAL Construction Corporation has completed the fast-track construction for Crystal Tech Fund, a technology venture capital company managed by Disruption Corporation and located at 2231 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA. The 13,000 SF interior renovation of the open floor office space took nine weeks to complete and offers sweeping views of the Potomac River and Washington, DC.
SIGAL Construction Corporation and Arlington Public Schools celebrated the Groundbreaking Ceremony on the highly anticipated Arlington Elementary School #1 on Wednesday, March 19. Designed by VMDO Architects, the new 98,000 SF elementary school will accommodate over 600 students, helping the county achieve a fundamental goal of reducing overcrowding.

SIGAL Construction Corporation has been awarded the construction of the Candlewood Suites at Fort Meade. The new hotel will be part of the Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) program which provides temporary homes to soldiers, their families and government travelers.
