The Tower Building development was the new construction of a 12 story, 280,000 SF office building and separate 300,000 SF parking garage. The building is a post-tensioned concrete structure bearing on caissons and includes 750 linear feet of serpentine-shaped, stone clad retaining walls to define the park-like setting. Dramatic wings intersect the elliptical floor plate creating atypical intersections that required careful coordination between the structure and facade. Award-winning curtain consists of a rain screen system including window/composite aluminum panel assemblies erected at an amazing pace of 50 panels per day. The building is recognized as a "Green" building in the tradition of LEED. The design includes recycled materials, sustainable products, and energy efficient mechanical systems.
The Tower Building at Tower Oaks is LEED® EB v2.0 Silver certified.
